NAMM Press Release

After a 2015 that saw the brand arrive in major retailers and hugely expand its international presence, D’Angelico Guitars is carrying its momentum into the new year.

For the first time in more than forty years, D’Angelico Guitars are once again being built in New York City. Announcing master-luthier Victor Baker as Head Luthier in June, the first batch of custom Master-Builders has been completed for the arrival of 2016. Working with his own two hands and the help of few assistants, these instruments represent the pinnacle of guitar-making and pay homage to original founder John D’Angelico.

Also new for 2016 is the Deluxe Collection. For their six most popular Standard Series models, upgraded Deluxe Editions are now available. Re-designed by Victor Baker the D’Angelico team in NYC, the Deluxe Collection features custom-made Seymour Duncan pick-ups, graphite nuts, and new Dunlop frets. These Deluxe Editions are refined versions of the same masterful Standard Series guitars that D’Angelico customers have come to know in recent years.

With mounting anticipation for the new Master-Builders, a preview of the Deluxe Collection, and debut refinements on their popular Standard Series, D’Angelico Guitars is lined up to leave their mark at the 2016 NAMM Show and set the pace for an exciting year.
