Master Builder

Style B

A gem of a "B-Side." First envisioned in 1936 by master-luthier John D’Angelico, we are proud to once again offer the legendary Style B, a reissue requested by Eric Clapton. Expertly hand-crafted by our head luthier in New York City, the Style B Master Builder promises a broad, yet perfectly balanced tonal spectrum with remarkable response in both its deep low-end and crisp high-end. Unlike other archtops, the Style B can be pushed to cut through any mix and remain exceptionally resistant to feedback. Dressed in a signature D’Angelico stairstep tailpiece and pickguard with its custom logo, the Style B epitomizes D’Angelico's timelessness.

Handmade in NYC
Handcrafted magic from our hands to yours. All D'Angelico Master-Builders are hand-made by our Head Luthier in New York City.
Continuing the Legacy
We all love original D’Angelicos—that’s why the Master Builder series is dedicated to making guitars just as John D’Angelico used to. One at a time, entirely custom.
New York Originals
Returning to New York for the first time in over forty years, D’Angelico Master-Builders are a celebration of the greatest city on Earth and feature many of John D'Angelico's original designs.
Stairstep Tailpiece
Our reinforced signature Stairstep tailpiece makes for sturdiness, maximum resonance, comfortable string tension, and is part of D'Angelico's legendary Art-Deco aesthetic.
