D'Angelico and Chillhop Music Present: #thebeatchallenge (now extended until June 12th!)

Introducing #TheBeatChallenge, where all you have to do is make a beat using a custom sample pack provided to you by D’Angelico Guitars and Chillhop Music. The pack has been curated by some of the top producers in the field and provides all the tools you’ll need to make a fully produced track. Submit your beat to us below, and post it to Instagram with the hashtag #TheBeatChallenge for a chance to win an Excel DC guitar, assorted swag items and a chance for your beat to be featured on an upcoming Chillhop release. Whether you’re an experienced producer already, or someone just getting started — take a stab at it! 

Step 1:

Download the D’Angelico x Chillhop Sample Pack

Step 2:

Make a beat using the samples provided. Remember, any genre or style is accepted (vocals are optional).

Step 3:

Upload your beat to Instagram, hashtag #TheBeatChallenge, tag @dangelicony and @chillhopmusic and nominate 3 friends. You can upload it with a video, a photo or artwork. Get creative with it!

Step 4:

Upload an MP3 file of your beat to the submissions folder below. Please include your Instagram handle in the title of the file so we know how to contact you!

Rules & Regulations

– Majority of the percussion samples in your track should be the ones provided in the sample pack.

– Beat must involve guitar in some capacity. If you don’t play the guitar, use one of the loops or ‘one-shots’ provided to you. You can also add your own instruments as well!

– Final track may not be used for commercial purposes unless permitted by D’Angelico or Chillhop. 

– D’Angelico or Chillhop will not use your music for any purposes outside of the challenge without your permission. 

– International entries accepted. Taxes and shipping costs covered by D’Angelico Guitars within the continental US. International shipping, taxes, and customs charges may not be covered per giveaway restrictions and laws. Must be at least 18 years old to claim prize, or provide a parent or guardian to claim.
