NEW YORK—January 2019—Following another landmark year for D’Angelico’s acoustic guitars—the second newest collection in their product line—where Premier Series acoustics continued to surge in success, D’Angelico will debut new Excel Series acoustics at the NAMM Show in January 2019.
Re-introduced with significant feature upgrades, body re-construction, and a full aesthetic makeover from the collection’s debut in 2015, the Excel Series will host four models: the Gramercy (a single-cutaway Grand Auditorium), the Bowery (a single-cutaway dreadnought), the Lexington (non-cutaway dreadnought), and the Tammany (OM). Each features a solid Sitka spruce top with stained laminated macassar back and sides for a stunning aesthetic, while finely scalloped bracing allows for unobstructed tone. Onboard electronics by Fishman faithfully amplify each guitar’s organic acoustic tone, and for ultimate comfort in playability, all Excel Acoustics feature a satin-finished, slim C-shape neck.
Excel Acoustics start at $799 MAP.
