ROAD READY AND COLLECTION WORTHY

Introducing the Excel Josh Turner Tammany—a non-cutaway orchestra model co-designed with prolific acoustic guitarist and guitar aficionado Josh Turner. Featuring a satin-finished solid spruce top and open-pore satin mahogany back and sides, the Josh Turner Tammany emanates warm, rich tone. A slightly thicker satin-finished C-shape neck and 1 3/4” nut width, unique among D'Angelico acoustics, offers a remarkably comfortable experience especially for fingerstyle playing, while vintage-inspired details like antique bronze hardware and a Throwback headstock illustrate Josh's love of classic aesthetics. Designed to offer onstage flexibility, the Josh Turner Tammany comes equipped with the JourneyTek Passive 3-piezo Pickup for natural plugged-in tone in a remarkably lightweight package. Available only in Natural, exclusively through D'Angelico.

Josh Turner

A multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, engineer, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York, Josh is best known for his YouTube channel Josh Turner Guitar, where he posts covers, original music, and instructional content. As of 2022, Josh’s YouTube channel has grown to nearly 650K subscribers and over 170M views, but the formula behind his videos has never changed: straightforward, live performances of songs, solo and with ensembles large and small—all with a focus on the guitar.

A Focus on Resonance

Finely scalloped bracing, an extra thin solid spruce top, and an understated passive piezo pickup system by JourneyTek combine to create D’Angelico’s most lightweight and resonant acoustic guitar yet. Paired with an open pore satin finish, the Josh Turner Tammany was designed to allow every note to sing.

Vintage-Inspired Design

To be at home in Josh’s impressive collection of vintage instruments, his signature Tammany needed a vintage-inspired look to match its feel. Antique bronze hardware, our Throwback Scroll-style headstock, and a hand-signed inner soundhole sticker underscore the instrument’s authenticity. Thin, unstained finish on the top will allow the unique color of each piece of spruce to come through as the instrument ages.

Limited Edition

Limited to only 50 pieces and available only in the U.S., the Excel Josh Turner Tammany is both road-ready and collection-worthy. Each is hand-signed and numbered by Josh.
